Information
The brushless DC motor or electronically commutated motor is designed like a three-phase synchronous machine with excitation by permanent magnets. A characteristic feature of the BLDC / EC motor is its commutation.
The BLDC / EC – motor or brushless direct current (DC) motor is a synchronous motor driven by a direct current supply via an inverter.
Important features
The BLDC motor design provides high specific torque and higher efficiency than conventional AC motors, especially in low speed applications. BLDC motors provide accurate speed and torque control and offer “holding torque”.
