Stainless steel motors with smooth (crevice-free) surface to avoid accumulation of impurities. An additional high degree of protection allows good cleaning of the motors. Also available together with gearbox, as gearmotors.
The IEC stainless steel motors with encapsulated winding are designed for washdown applications and are suitable for clean-in-place (CIP) processes. IP 69K protection even provides resistance to high-pressure cleaning with hot water (80 °C) and pressure up to 100 bar from a short distance. Due to the fully enclosed, non-ventilated construction (TENV), the surface is smooth, water drains well and there are no crevices for contaminants to collect. The technical data are engraved by laser into the housing, as this is a more hygienic solution than attaching a conventional nameplate. H1 food grade lubricants are used for lubrication. The motor is available in various efficiency classes from premium efficiency IE3 up to IE5 (with frequency converter control).
The motor is available with power from 0.18 to 7.5 kW. They are available in 2- to 6-pole versions for 230 to 690 V with 50 or 60 Hz as well as with UL approval.
